  7. EMIS system utilizes four forecasting methods -- Simple Average, Simple Moving
  8. Average, Linear Regression, and the Seasonal Method. EMIS Forecast Management
  9. interfaces with the Master Production Schedule module to update the MPS with
  10. the outcome from a selected forecast method, while also interacting with the
  11. Sales Order Management module to provide information relating actual sales to
  12. forecast sales. Since all of the planning activity in a company deals with the
  13. future, much of the organization will work with and benefit from sales
  14. forecasts.
